Love is the main theme of the body of work. Generally considered a universal human phenomenon it offers the possibility of a ubiquitous experience. The boro inspired paper noren invites the participants to this Wabiki experience

The wabiki room is devised around the poetry of love. The imaginary room of love where various sentiments of affection are to be expressed articulates around an arrangement of poetic pieces in the Japanese patterns of the traditional tea room. Based on traditional Japanese proportions the artworks can be rearranged into different patterns, becoming interactive.

The fusion style of writing makes the text less legible which in the particular context of the Wabiki aesthetic is not a concern as the objective was to experience the narrative with its own hermeneutic and cultural background rather than use an imposed cognitive interpretation.
